JFK Mosaic
This mosaic is hidden away in a corner of Galway Cathedral. It is believed that JFK was so taken with his visit to Galway in June 1963 that it was the Kennedy family who later funded the completion of the cathedral the building of which had stalled due to lack of funds when he visited. It was abundantly clear that the people of Galway still fondly remember JFK although I have met many who were unaware of this mosaic.
